Negotiation of two grant facilities with IBRD and the Government of Austria

WD/GEF funded project for establishment of Bulgarian Energy Efficiency Fund.

The project is aimed at establishment of long-term mechanism for financing of various energy efficiency measures. The BEEF will be structured as an independent self-funding legal entity based on the principle of public-private partnership. Eurolex participates in the project as a member of an international advisory team led by PricewaterhouseCoopers and including also Mott McDonald. Eurolex is responsible for drafting the legal status of the fund and other relevant documents. Eurolex is also providing continuos consultations to the Ministry of Energy and Energy Resources on every major step related to the establishment of the fund, i.e. funds raising, selection of the Management Board members and Fund Manager, meeting WB’s requirements, tax registration, etc.
